Substantial savings now available to eligible prospective parents for each surrogacy journey based on support from EMD Serono.

June 18, 2016: Men Having Babies (MHB) Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) announced today that EMD Serono, the biopharmaceutical business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, in the U.S. and Canada, will provide eligible prospective gay parents with up to a 75% discount on select fertility medications for use by their surrogates when redeemed at an EMD Serono participating pharmacy.

MHB is accepting applications for the Gay Parenting Assistance Program, appoints administrative coordinator

Men Having Babies is now accepting Stage I applications for the Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP), and the organization estimates that in 2014 the program will distribute over $500,000 in cash grants and pro-bono surrogacy related services offered by more than a dozen clinics, agencies, and law firms. In the coming weeks eligible applicants will receive certificates that will provide them access to discounts of up to 40% from participating providers. They will then be invited to submit Stage II applications, and those selected will receive grants and / or matched with providers who will provide them services for free. Read More...

The 2013 NY MHB conference at the JCC in Manhattan was a great success

The 2013 NYC Men Having Babies conference took place on October 6th, 2013, at the JCC in Manhattan, which also co-sponsored the event. The outstanding hospitality of the JCC allowed the organizers to accommodate over 30 Gay Parenting Expo exhibitors, and offer 11 hours of educational programs to the 200 parents, prospects and professionals that attended. As we approach our first anniversary as an independent organization, we are pleased to report that our vision of bringing surrogacy within financial reach of more prospective parents is about to become a reality. With the help of a professional and input from members and partners (in interviews and a small survey we conducted in April), what we initially only envisioned as a financial aid fund started evolving into a program that will also provide eligible prospective gay parents with access to discounts and free services from our partners.
