Qin Fan, Psy.D.
Dr. Fan is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in San Francisco and an adjunct instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at California Pacific Medical Center. In addition, she is also the founder of Meiya RHS, LLC, an Asian egg donor agency in San Francisco. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology and Masters in French Literature from the University of North Caroline-Chapel Hill. Her doctoral dissertation investigated women's experience of loss following failed in vitro fertilization attempts. In her practice and teaching, she focuses on reproductive mental health, specifically on the third party reproduction, providing psychological consultation for intended parents and psychological evaluation for egg/sperm donors and gestational carriers. A member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, she supports the family building efforts of all individuals and has extensive experience working with LGBTQ community.
Victoria Ferrara, Esq.
Victoria Ferrara is the Founder and Legal Director of Worldwide Surrogacy Specialists, LLC, a successful surrogacy matching agency, through which she has helped many couples and individuals have children. One of her achievements is the landmark decision of Raftopol v. Ramey, 12 A.3d 783 299 Conn. 681 (2011), a Connecticut Supreme Court case that essentially created a new way to establish legal parentage in Connecticut, i.e., by being a party (Intended Parent) to a valid gestational agreement regardless of genetic connection to the child to be born to the gestational surrogate. Attorney Ferrara appears frequently in courts throughout the State of Connecticut for all matters in involving assisted reproduction law, pre-birth orders, and adoptions, including co-parent and step-parent adoption matters. Diane Hinson, Esq.

Kathryn Kaycoff, MA
Kathryn is co-owner and co-director of Agency for Surrogacy Solutions and Egg Donor Solutions. Before Kathryn became an agency owner and leading expert in the field of surrogacy, egg donation, infertility and traveling for treatment – she encountered her own struggles to become a mother. Four years, 6 fresh IVFs, 3 frozen embryo transfers, an egg donor, sperm donor, over 100 embryos and 2 Gestational Surrogates later, Kathryn and her (now ex) husband became the proud parents of identical twin boys in 2003. She and her business partner (Lauri de Brito) opened their agency in 2004 hoping to help others have a smoother, shorter, less turbulent journey. The have successfully helped hundreds of people all over the world become parents. Elliott Kronenfeld, LICSW, CST is a certified sex therapist and a father through adoption and gestational surrogacy. He has worked in the fields of adoption, gestational surrogacy and family formation for 15 years. He is known around the country as a specialist in fertility, and speaks at various venues about how GLBTQ families are formed and thrive. He is the founder and Clinical Director of Insight Brookline Psychotherapy in the Boston area. His new book, Couples by Intention, is due out by the end of the year.

Dr. Kumar is board certified in reproductive endocrinology and obstetrics and gynecology and practices near Los Angeles, California. Tabitha is the Director of Legal Services at Northwest Surrogacy Center, LLC. She is licensed to practice law in California, Oregon, and Washington. Dean Masserman, Esq.
Dean E. Masserman is a highly experienced and respected trial lawyer in California. He has handled more than 3,000 litigation matters over 28 years. He is a founding partner of Vorzimer/Masserman - Fertility & Family Law Center, which handles more than 300 fertility matters annually. His practice areas are Family Law, Reproductive Law, and Complex CivilLitigation. He specializes in all aspects of third party reproduction litigation including breach of contract, parental rights, lost/destroyed embryos, wrongful birth, and negligence by fertility agencies and physicians. Molly O’Brien, Esq.
Molly O’Brien has worked in the field of Assisted Reproduction since 2005. Steven H. Snyder, Esq.
Steven H. Snyder, Esq., is the founding and principal partner of Steven H. Snyder & Associates in Maple Grove, Minnesota. He is also the Director of the International Assisted Reproduction Center (IARC), a U.S. surrogacy and egg donation matching agency. Mr. Snyder is an active leader in numerous professional organizations, including RESOLVE, the American Fertility Association, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the American Bar Association Assisted Reproductive Technology Committee. Michael is a Los Angeles based psychotherapist and psychologist. Michael has worked with adoption agencies and children for 15 years. He currently works for Kaiser Permanente as a therapist and runs ADHD and Transgender support groups. Michael’s other job is working with adults within the Board and Care population. Michael obtained his doctorate degree, PsyD, in February 2016, and his thesis/dissertation was about the Gay and Lesbian population engaging in Artificial Reproductive Services (ART). Michael is writing a book about his experience with the process, and is planning to begin a private practice with the LGBT population engaging in ART.
Laura Alabre, Events Coordinator and GPAP Case Manager
Laura joined Men Having Babies in February 2017 as the organization was welcoming the fourth “class” of Stage II Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) recipients. Laura’s responsibilities include Stage II GPAP case management and coordination of the selection and matching process. She also provides support in conference production and coordination. Prior to that she worked at CT Fertility as the Third Party Journey Coordinator, Egg Donor Matching Coordinator as well as a liaison to Israeli patients. Laura has also previously been a known egg donor to several couples all over the world to support their dreams of becoming parents, because having children has been her most treasured life experience. She lives in Connecticut with her two amazing children, Malia and Jordan.
Michelle Pine, board member, chair of the Surrogates Advisory Committee
Michelle Pine is a special education teacher for students with mild disabilities at an alternative high school in Klamath Falls, Oregon, having previously taught special education and Language Arts in Portland. Michelle holds two Masters in Education from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Eastern Oregon University. When not working, Michelle enjoys reading and writing and spending time with her family exploring Oregon. Michelle is a two-time surrogate. In 2015 she carried boy/girl twins for a same-sex couple in Israel. She delivered a baby girl in September 2017 for a mixed-status same-sex couple from San Francisco. Michelle and her husband have three amazing children, all who played an important role in both surrogacy journeys and have enjoyed being a part of helping others become a family.
Ron Poole-Dayan, Board Member / Executive Director
Ron is the executive director and founding board member of Men Having Babies. He has over 20 years of experience in marketing and business strategy development both in the USA and internationally. Ron earned his Masters degree in political economy and comparative politics from Columbia University, and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Ron is married to Greg Poole-Dayan, the Administrator of the Jewish Home Lifecare Nursing Home in the Bronx. The couple met in 1994, and are among of the first same-sex couples in the nation to father children through gestational surrogacy. The twins, born in 2001, were conceived with the use of eggs donated by Greg's sister, and carried by a gestational carrier. Ron has been the MHB program coordinator since 2005, and was appointed as the Executive Director of Men Having Babies upon its incorporation in July 2012.
Georges Sylvestre, M.D., Board Member
Georges Sylvestre is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist specialized in High-Risk Pregnancies, currently Chairman of OBGYN at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens. Georges and his husband David Margolis live in Manhattan, and are the proud fathers of Tristan and Noah, born in 2010 and 2013 via gestational surrogacy. Having grown up in France, Canada and Switzerland, the Sylvestre-Margolis boys speak French and English at home, and has traveled extensively across the world, making a point of meeting other LGBT gay couples raising children. Sherman L. Taylor II, board member / secretary
Sherman is a technology manager in the Research & Development organization of Procter & Gamble, based in Cincinnati, OH. Sherman received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Colloids, Polymers and Surfaces from Carnegie Mellon University. Sherman leads of group of scientists and engineers to create new and improved consumer products; he has worked across a variety of brands in his career including Pampers, Vicks, PuR, Swiffer, Magic Erasers, Bounce and Downy. Sherman also leads the design of corporate training programs to accelerate the growth and development of New Hires upon entering the company. Sherman and his husband Andrew have two sons via surrogacy, born in 2013 and 2017.
Michael Wetson, board member / treasurer
Michael is co-owner and Director of Professional Service Delivery for Inscio, LLC, a Dallas-based consulting firm specializing in connecting information with people via NetSuite and other leading solutions. Michael Wetson’s first experience with surrogacy began as he and his husband Shawn started their journey in 2012. Their twins, Olivia and Sawyer, were born via an anonymous egg donor and Gestational Surrogate in 2013. When not chasing the twins around the house or resolving employee and customer requests, Michael and Shawn enjoy running (or napping, whichever task wins the toss). Michael is a graduate of the University of Kansas, has mentored several gay couples as they began their own journey, and has been an outspoken advocate for gay families for the past several years.
Brandon J. Bankowski, MD, MPH
Dr. Bankowski is one of the most-respected and experienced physicians helping LGBTQ intended parents build their families through donor egg surrogacy in the USA. He is a board-certiﬁed reproductive endocrinologist with extensive experience in IVF, egg donation, surrogacy and genomics. He has practiced at Oregon Reproductive Medicine (ORM) since 2005. Said T. Daneshmand, MD, FACOG
Dr. Said Daneshmand of San Diego Fertility Center is an internationally recognized fertility specialist with extensive experience in providing third-party reproductive services. Dr. Daneshmand serves on the board of several surrogacy advocacy groups. He has collaborated to develop in vitro fertilization (IVF) protocols to improve pregnancy rates, including PTEC (post-thaw extended culture), which is one of the most successful IVF regimens currently available. These groundbreaking findings were published in the internationally respected medical journal, Fertility and Sterility, where Dr. Daneshmand also served as a reviewer. Maria Valencia was earning her bachelor’s degree in International Business and raising two boys when she started in the surrogacy industry. The first time Maria helped a couple all the way through their journey, she realized she had found her passion when she saw them hold their precious bundle of joy for the first time. Now in her thirteenth year in the industry Maria has built outstanding relationships with the best resources and has the experience to bring the dream of creating a family to life. John Chally, J.D. is one of the Directors and Founders of Northwest Surrogacy Center, LLC. He has 20 years of experience as a surrogacy attorney, with a focus on securing the legal relationships between intended parents and their children. He also has nearly 40 years of experience practicing in the areas of adoption and adoption litigation. He has a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV Preeminent, indicating the highest level of professional excellence and ethical standards, and is ranked as a Super Lawyer. He is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys.
One of the early promoters of open adoption, John is a former member of the State of Oregon Task Force on Adoption Services and the Oregon Law Foundation Adoption Committee. In 1985 he co-founded Open Adoption & Family Services, Inc., one of the largest adoption agencies in the Pacific Northwest. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on adoption and frequently speaks at adoption seminars.
Jay Cook, RN
Jay Cook is co-owner and co-founder of Same Love Surrogacy, a full service gay owned and operated egg donor and surrogacy agency based in West Hollywood, CA. Jay partnered with his husband Danny Wong and close friend Brad Spencer for the inspiration of Same Love Surrogacy – the personal experience of three gay dads who created their families via surrogacy and egg donation. What all this personal experience taught us is that more and more LGBTQ individuals are seeking to become parents via assisted reproductive technology, and we want to assist intending parents through their journey to parenthood while giving back to the LGBTQ community. Jay was born in Michigan and has resided in Los Angeles, CA for the past 20 years with his husband and twin boys. He has worked as a health club manager and registered nurse. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Fitness Management and an Associates degree in Nursing. Jay utilizes his management and medical experience as a unique blend to assist LGBTQ in the creation of families.
Nir Keren, originally from Israel now lives in Toronto, Canada with his partner Bob. Nir has assisted several of his friends throughout their surrogacy journeys, in different countries which has opened his eyes to the many challenges intended parents are facing to create their families. Nir's background is in business improvment and marketing however after seeing first hand the obstacles international IP's endure, he felt that his mission and passion is to bring the awareness of the Canadian surrogacy option to IP's seeking alternative options. He has now dedicated his life to support IP's around the world to have a smooth and straight-forward journey in Canada. Alongside Dr. Librach and The CReATe Fertility Centre, he has now established 'Babies Come True', a concierge service in Canada that will help and support international IP's throughout their surrogacy journey. Dr. Sharon Moayeri, M.D. is the Co-Founder and Co-Medical Director of CCRM Orange County and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She received her medical degree from University of California Irvine School of Medicine and stayed on at University of California to complete her residency. One of her many accomplishments include a three-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Moayeri is a frequent reviewer for the prestigious American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Salli Tauzke, M.D.
Dr. Salli Tazuke is the Co-Founder and Co-Medical Director of CCRM San Francisco and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. After receiving her medical degree from University of California San Diego, she then completed her residency at Yale University School of Medicine and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Stanford University School of Medicine. She participated in the NIH and ASRM sponsored Reproductive Scientist Training Program and CREST (The Clinical Research/Reproductive Scientist Training Program), and has presented and published her work extensively.
