FOR PARENTS: Speaking to children on surrogacy and gay parenting

The 2019 New York Men Having Babies Surrogacy Conference will feature parenting options in the USA and Canada, and the debut of the Advocacy & Research Forum!

For gay men who want to become parents through surrogacy, the MHB educational conferences are a rare opportunity to get under one roof a wealth of information, advice and access a wide range of relevant service providers — and from an unbiased non-profit organization.

In addition to advice about parenting options, we offer in parallel the Advocacy & Research Forum, to discuss the social, ethical, legal and empirical aspects of surrogacy and LGBT parenting (participation requires RSVP). The opening session on Friday will offer national, international and historical perspective to the current debate about legalizing surrogacy in NY.

To accommodate the growing interest, the 2019 conference will be held at the spacious Stewart hotel, where out of town attendees will also be able to benefit from a discounted group rate. The conference is based on a format MHB developed over the last 14 years in NY, San Francisco, Dallas, Brussels, Chicago and Tel Aviv. More than 30 providers and community organizations will offer information on parenting options in the USA and Canada. In-depth workshops and panels have been updated, and arranged in program tracks that will appeal to prospective parents on different stages of the process. And of course we will once again offer the popular panel of teen surrogacy children!

The conference is co-sponsored by Out of the J, at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan. As always, proceeds from sponsorship and exhibiting fees will benefit the Gay Parenting Assistance Program.
