Qin Fan, Psy.D.


Dr. Fan is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in San Francisco and an adjunct instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at California Pacific Medical Center. In addition, she is also the founder of Meiya RHS, LLC, an Asian egg donor agency in San Francisco. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology and Masters in French Literature from the University of North Caroline-Chapel Hill. Her doctoral dissertation investigated women's experience of loss following failed in vitro fertilization attempts. In her practice and teaching, she focuses on reproductive mental health, specifically on the third party reproduction, providing psychological consultation for intended parents and psychological evaluation for egg/sperm donors and gestational carriers. A member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, she supports the family building efforts of all individuals and has extensive experience working with LGBTQ community.

Victoria Ferrara, Esq.

Victoria Ferrara is the Founder and Legal Director of Worldwide Surrogacy Specialists, LLC, a successful surrogacy matching agency, through which she has helped many couples and individuals have children. One of her achievements is the landmark decision of Raftopol v. Ramey, 12 A.3d 783 299 Conn. 681 (2011), a Connecticut Supreme Court case that essentially created a new way to establish legal parentage in Connecticut, i.e., by being a party (Intended Parent) to a valid gestational agreement regardless of genetic connection to the child to be born to the gestational surrogate. Attorney Ferrara appears frequently in courts throughout the State of Connecticut for all matters in involving assisted reproduction law, pre-birth orders, and adoptions, including co-parent and step-parent adoption matters. She is a member of the Academy of Assisted Reproductive Law Attorneys, the Family Law Institute, the National Gay and Lesbian Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association..

Diane Hinson, Esq.

Diane Hinson, a cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, founded Creative Family Connections LLC on the principle that “everyone can build a family.” After starting her own family as a single mother, Diane built a full-service surrogacy agency and reproductive rights law firm that is consistently one of the highest-ranked agencies in the world. Kathryn Kaycoff, MA


Kathryn is co-owner and co-director of Agency for Surrogacy Solutions and Egg Donor Solutions. Before Kathryn became an agency owner and leading expert in the field of surrogacy, egg donation, infertility and traveling for treatment – she encountered her own struggles to become a mother. Four years, 6 fresh IVFs, 3 frozen embryo transfers, an egg donor, sperm donor, over 100 embryos and 2 Gestational Surrogates later, Kathryn and her (now ex) husband became the proud parents of identical twin boys in 2003. She and her business partner (Lauri de Brito) opened their agency in 2004 hoping to help others have a smoother, shorter, less turbulent journey. The have successfully helped hundreds of people all over the world become parents. Kathryn is a member of PVED, RESOLVE, ASRM, SEEDS and ESHRE, and has appeared in many media outlets around the world.

Elliott Kronenfeld, LICSW, CST

Elliott Kronenfeld, LICSW, CST is a certified sex therapist and a father through adoption and gestational surrogacy. He has worked in the fields of adoption, gestational surrogacy and family formation for 15 years. He is known around the country as a specialist in fertility, and speaks at various venues about how GLBTQ families are formed and thrive. He is the founder and Clinical Director of Insight Brookline Psychotherapy in the Boston area. His new book, Couples by Intention, is due out by the end of the year.

Ashim Kumar, MD


Dr. Kumar is board certified in reproductive endocrinology and obstetrics and gynecology and practices near Los Angeles, California. In recent years Dr. Kumar has focused his efforts for those that have had difficulty conceiving and require third party reproduction (egg donor and/or gestational surrogacy). With high success rates, over half of his current patients are from overseas which include Australia, Austria, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, The United Kingdom, etc. Combining meticulous attention to detail, 7-day a week work ethic, the best support staff (nursing & embryology) and the latest in technology, he is able to obtain the highest pregnancy rates achievable today. Tabitha Lundberg Koh, J.D.


Tabitha is the Director of Legal Services at Northwest Surrogacy Center, LLC. A graduate of the University of California Berkeley Law School and an attorney since 2007, her practice areas include adoption, surrogacy, and assisted reproductive technology, as well as estate planning and probate. She is licensed to practice law in California, Oregon, and Washington. Tabitha is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys , Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS), and the Oregon Gay and Lesbian Law Association.

Dean Masserman, Esq.


Dean E. Masserman is a highly experienced and respected trial lawyer in California. He has handled more than 3,000 litigation matters over 28 years. He is a founding partner of Vorzimer/Masserman - Fertility & Family Law Center, which handles more than 300 fertility matters annually. His practice areas are Family Law, Reproductive Law, and Complex CivilLitigation. He specializes in all aspects of third party reproduction litigation including breach of contract, parental rights, lost/destroyed embryos, wrongful birth, and negligence by fertility agencies and physicians. His family law practice includes marital and non-marital transactions, non-traditional family formation and co-parenting, divorce, spousal/child support, and high conflict family litigation. He prepared the first Reproductive Estate Plan (REP) and continues to offer this service today. The REP addresses unique fertility legal problems such as parentage/inheritance issues, legal guardians, executors/conservators, and clients’ wishes regarding genetic property. He secured the first pre-birth Parentage Order (PBO) in the U.S. for a gay couple and with his business partner, Andrew Vorzimer, and other professionals, enacted law which codified surrogacy and parental rights in California (FC 7962).

John Norian, M.D.


Dr. John Norian, double board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons, completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine program in New York and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. Molly O’Brien, Esq.


Molly O’Brien has worked in the field of Assisted Reproduction since 2005. In that time, she worked for an Egg Donation Agency and a Surrogacy Agency where she became familiar with all aspects of In-Vitro Fertilization and Egg Donation, including the financial aspects of surrogacy. Since becoming an attorney in 2011, she has gained extensive experience in drafting and negotiating Surrogacy Contracts, Egg Donation and Sperm Donation Contracts, and Embryo Donation Contracts on behalf of her clients throughout the world. Ms. O’Brien has also appeared before many local Judges to help both domestic and international couples finalize their parental rights, and has extensive experience in obtaining all documents necessary for her couples to return to their home country. As a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), she serves on the Executive Board of the Legal Professional Group section of ASRM as the Secretary. Susanna Park, M.D.

World renowned for her fertility expertise, IVF success and excellence in medical care, Dr. Susanna Park has practiced as an infertility physician for the past 15 years. Dr. Park joined the San Diego Fertility Center in 2013 following her tenure at Columbia University in New York City. Her passion is to combine her extensive experience as an infertility physician with individualized care and compassion. Guy Ringler, M.D.

In clinical practice for over twenty years, Dr. Guy Ringler has developed a large international referral practice due to his excellent patient rapport and expertise in IVF, surrogacy, and gay family building. As one of the world’s first fertility doctors to help gay men become fathers through egg donation and surrogacy, Dr. Ringler has been recognized by the American Fertility Association (AFA) with an Achievement Award. He regularly lends his voice to the public conversation about gay family-building as a spokesperson for GLAAD and a contributor to the Huffington Post. Dr. Ringler has worked closely with the AFA to increase public awareness of fertility options for people with HIV, and he has helped many HIV-positive people have children through assisted reproduction. Eldon Schriock, M.D.

Dr. Eldon Schriock has been a Medical Director with Pacific Fertility Center since 1999. An internationally recognized expert in infertility, he has been at the forefront of assisted reproductive technology since 1981. In fact, he was a member of the medical team that performed the first in-vitrofertilization treatment in Northern California. Dr. Schriock is recognized as one of the "Best Doctors in America.” His clinical expertise and compassionate care earn him referrals from both physicians and patients. As an innovator, he has authored over 50 abstracts and articles in medical publications. Steven H. Snyder, Esq.

Steven H. Snyder, Esq., is the founding and principal partner of Steven H. Snyder & Associates in Maple Grove, Minnesota. He is also the Director of the International Assisted Reproduction Center (IARC), a U.S. surrogacy and egg donation matching agency. Michael Von Habsburg

Michael is a Los Angeles based psychotherapist and psychologist. Michael has worked with adoption agencies and children for 15 years. He currently works for Kaiser Permanente as a therapist and runs ADHD and Transgender support groups. Michael’s other job is working with adults within the Board and Care population. Michael obtained his doctorate degree, PsyD, in February 2016, and his thesis/dissertation was about the Gay and Lesbian population engaging in Artificial Reproductive Services (ART). Michael is writing a book about his experience with the process, and is planning to begin a private practice with the LGBT population engaging in ART.

Laura Alabre, Events Coordinator and GPAP Case Manager


Laura joined Men Having Babies in February 2017 as the organization was welcoming the fourth “class” of Stage II Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) recipients. Laura’s responsibilities include Stage II GPAP case management and coordination of the selection and matching process. She also provides support in conference production and coordination. Prior to that she worked at CT Fertility as the Third Party Journey Coordinator, Egg Donor Matching Coordinator as well as a liaison to Israeli patients. Laura has also previously been a known egg donor to several couples all over the world to support their dreams of becoming parents, because having children has been her most treasured life experience. She lives in Connecticut with her two amazing children, Malia and Jordan.

Michelle Pine, board member, chair of the Surrogates Advisory Committee


Michelle Pine is a special education teacher for students with mild disabilities at an alternative high school in Klamath Falls, Oregon, having previously taught special education and Language Arts in Portland. Michelle holds two Masters in Education from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Eastern Oregon University. When not working, Michelle enjoys reading and writing and spending time with her family exploring Oregon. Michelle is a two-time surrogate. In 2015 she carried boy/girl twins for a same-sex couple in Israel. She delivered a baby girl in September 2017 for a mixed-status same-sex couple from San Francisco. Michelle and her husband have three amazing children, all who played an important role in both surrogacy journeys and have enjoyed being a part of helping others become a family.

Ron Poole-Dayan, Board Member / Executive Director


Ron is the executive director and founding board member of Men Having Babies. He has over 20 years of experience in marketing and business strategy development both in the USA and internationally. Ron earned his Masters degree in political economy and comparative politics from Columbia University, and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Ron is married to Greg Poole-Dayan, the Administrator of the Jewish Home Lifecare Nursing Home in the Bronx. The couple met in 1994, and are among of the first same-sex couples in the nation to father children through gestational surrogacy. The twins, born in 2001, were conceived with the use of eggs donated by Greg's sister, and carried by a gestational carrier. Ron has been the MHB program coordinator since 2005, and was appointed as the Executive Director of Men Having Babies upon its incorporation in July 2012.

Georges Sylvestre, M.D., Board Member


Georges Sylvestre is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist specialized in High-Risk Pregnancies, currently Chairman of OBGYN at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens. Georges and his husband David Margolis live in Manhattan, and are the proud fathers of Tristan and Noah, born in 2010 and 2013 via gestational surrogacy. Having grown up in France, Canada and Switzerland, the Sylvestre-Margolis boys speak French and English at home, and has traveled extensively across the world, making a point of meeting other LGBT gay couples raising children. Georges' profession and personal experience give him a unique advantage in understanding the medical, psychological, ethical and financial challenges of the IP/couple –egg donor – Gestational surrogate triad.

Sherman L. Taylor II, board member / secretary


Sherman is a technology manager in the Research & Development organization of Procter & Gamble, based in Cincinnati, OH. Sherman received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Colloids, Polymers and Surfaces from Carnegie Mellon University. Sherman leads of group of scientists and engineers to create new and improved consumer products; he has worked across a variety of brands in his career including Pampers, Vicks, PuR, Swiffer, Magic Erasers, Bounce and Downy. Sherman also leads the design of corporate training programs to accelerate the growth and development of New Hires upon entering the company. Sherman and his husband Andrew have two sons via surrogacy, born in 2013 and 2017.

Michael Wetson, board member / treasurer


Michael is co-owner and Director of Professional Service Delivery for Inscio, LLC, a Dallas-based consulting firm specializing in connecting information with people via NetSuite and other leading solutions. Michael Wetson’s first experience with surrogacy began as he and his husband Shawn started their journey in 2012. Their twins, Olivia and Sawyer, were born via an anonymous egg donor and Gestational Surrogate in 2013. When not chasing the twins around the house or resolving employee and customer requests, Michael and Shawn enjoy running (or napping, whichever task wins the toss). Michael is a graduate of the University of Kansas, has mentored several gay couples as they began their own journey, and has been an outspoken advocate for gay families for the past several years.

Brandon J. Bankowski, MD, MPH
Dr. Bankowski is one of the most-respected and experienced physicians helping LGBTQ intended parents build their families through donor egg surrogacy in the USA. He is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist with extensive experience in IVF, egg donation, surrogacy and genomics. He has practiced at Oregon Reproductive Medicine (ORM) since 2005. He and his partners at ORM have helped LGBTQ intended parents from across the world build their families. Said T. Daneshmand, MD, FACOG
Dr. Said Daneshmand of San Diego Fertility Center is an internationally recognized fertility specialist with extensive experience in providing third-party reproductive services. Dr. Daneshmand serves on the board of several surrogacy advocacy groups. He has collaborated to develop in vitro fertilization (IVF) protocols to improve pregnancy rates, including PTEC (post-thaw extended culture), which is one of the most successful IVF regimens currently available. These groundbreaking findings were published in the internationally respected medical journal, Fertility and Sterility, where Dr. Daneshmand also served as a reviewer. Dr. Daneshmand completed his fellowship and residency at UCLA. He is specialty board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and sub specialty board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology. Among his achievements, Dr. Daneshmand is the recipient of numerous awards including the Eileen Pike Medical School Valedictorian Award and the PCRS Fellowship and Practicing Physician Research Award. He has served as the President of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society (Iota Chapter) and is a member of the Decherney Society, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). Maria Valencia


Maria Valencia was earning her bachelor’s degree in International Business and raising two boys when she started in the surrogacy industry. The first time Maria helped a couple all the way through their journey, she realized she had found her passion when she saw them hold their precious bundle of joy for the first time. Now in her thirteenth year in the industry Maria has built outstanding relationships with the best resources and has the experience to bring the dream of creating a family to life. The professional staff at ISC, under Maria’s direction, is committed to providing premier customer service and making the process of surrogacy a unique and enjoyable journey. Maria and her team work with her intended parents doctors, IVF clinic staff, attorneys, surrogates. Maria believes in building relationships with honesty, transparency, and communication. Maria founded International Surrogacy Center in 2011, she and her team enjoy building close relationships with their clients and seeing pictures of the families as they grow. John Chally, J.D.


John Chally, J.D. is one of the Directors and Founders of Northwest Surrogacy Center, LLC. He has 20 years of experience as a surrogacy attorney, with a focus on securing the legal relationships between intended parents and their children. He also has nearly 40 years of experience practicing in the areas of adoption and adoption litigation. He has a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV Preeminent, indicating the highest level of professional excellence and ethical standards, and is ranked as a Super Lawyer. He is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys.
One of the early promoters of open adoption, John is a former member of the State of Oregon Task Force on Adoption Services and the Oregon Law Foundation Adoption Committee. In 1985 he co-founded Open Adoption & Family Services, Inc., one of the largest adoption agencies in the Pacific Northwest. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on adoption and frequently speaks at adoption seminars.

Jay Cook, RN


Jay Cook is co-owner and co-founder of Same Love Surrogacy, a full service gay owned and operated egg donor and surrogacy agency based in West Hollywood, CA. Jay partnered with his husband Danny Wong and close friend Brad Spencer for the inspiration of Same Love Surrogacy – the personal experience of three gay dads who created their families via surrogacy and egg donation. What all this personal experience taught us is that more and more LGBTQ individuals are seeking to become parents via assisted reproductive technology, and we want to assist intending parents through their journey to parenthood while giving back to the LGBTQ community. Jay was born in Michigan and has resided in Los Angeles, CA for the past 20 years with his husband and twin boys. He has worked as a health club manager and registered nurse. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Fitness Management and an Associates degree in Nursing. Jay utilizes his management and medical experience as a unique blend to assist LGBTQ in the creation of families.

Nir Keren


Nir Keren, originally from Israel now lives in Toronto, Canada with his partner Bob. Nir has assisted several of his friends throughout their surrogacy journeys, in different countries which has opened his eyes to the many challenges intended parents are facing to create their families. Nir's background is in business improvment and marketing however after seeing first hand the obstacles international IP's endure, he felt that his mission and passion is to bring the awareness of the Canadian surrogacy option to IP's seeking alternative options. He has now dedicated his life to support IP's around the world to have a smooth and straight-forward journey in Canada. Alongside Dr. Librach and The CReATe Fertility Centre, he has now established 'Babies Come True', a concierge service in Canada that will help and support international IP's throughout their surrogacy journey. Nir and his husband are currently going through the process of surrogacy in Canada themselves and love to share their story.

Sharon Moayeri, M.D.


Dr. Sharon Moayeri, M.D. is the Co-Founder and Co-Medical Director of CCRM Orange County and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She received her medical degree from University of California Irvine School of Medicine and stayed on at University of California to complete her residency. One of her many accomplishments include a three-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Moayeri is a frequent reviewer for the prestigious American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of reproductive medicine including: infertility management, in vitro fertilization, minimally invasive reproductive surgery, and fertility preservation options. Salli Tauzke, M.D.


Dr. Salli Tazuke is the Co-Founder and Co-Medical Director of CCRM San Francisco and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. After receiving her medical degree from University of California San Diego, she then completed her residency at Yale University School of Medicine and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Stanford University School of Medicine. She participated in the NIH and ASRM sponsored Reproductive Scientist Training Program and CREST (The Clinical Research/Reproductive Scientist Training Program), and has presented and published her work extensively.
Dr. Tazuke’s philosophy is to strive for the highest quality of care with compassion and honest advice. She spends a great deal of time with each patient to develop personalized treatment, while keeping in mind evidence and science-based best practices in the field of reproductive medicine. Dr. Tazuke speaks multiple languages, including Japanese and Mandarin, and is conversant in Spanish.
