100+ Providers and Counting: Pledged Support for MHB Members

MHB is thrilled to announce that the growing group of providers who offer discounts to our members now numbers over 100 leading IVF clinics, surrogacy and egg donation agencies, law firms and providers of complementary services! One of Men Having Babies’ main goals is removing the financial barriers that prevent the majority of prospective gay parents from pursuing safe and ethical surrogacy parenting options. To assist on this front, MHB partners with surrogacy providers who share the same values, and who additionally agree to offer discounts and even free services to the MHB community. Surpassing 100 participating providers is an incredible achievement means that every supporting member at MHB can benefit from a wide selection of discounts that typically range from $500 - $1,500 each, or for the hundreds of couples accepted into MHB’s Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP), these savings can be upwards of $20,000!

In addition, the Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP) has helped 330 couples this year and to date we have 36 babies that were born to Stage II fathers! Furthermore, MHB has worked extremely hard to raise awareness with dozens of partners and getting involved in research and advocacy groups worldwide.

Anthony Brown: My Journey with Men Having Babies

Men Having Babies has benefited from the leadership of Anthony M Brown, our board chairman, from the first days of our incorporation in 2012. His input and insight have helped us grow into the amazing organization we are now. As he steps down and leaves the board at the end of 2018, Anthony looks back in the article below at his journey with MHB. He also had an opportunity to recount some of these landmarks and insights at "mini-documentary" our gifted videographer Alex Harris created recently: "The Journey Starts Here". Anthony will still be a familiar face at some of our annual conferences and in our community.
