The Tel Aviv conference is structured to supplement the information shared during the year, and offer opportunities for the attendees to learn about a select group of surrogacy providers directly and through several expert panels. The net proceeds from sponsorship revenues benefit the AIGF and our joint Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP).
The conference took place once again at the beautiful EAST Tel Aviv convention hall, and was produced with the help of the local "O Productions" team. See below for the highlight video and a photo album (at the bottom of the article).
Conference sponsors included CReATe Fertility Centre (Platinum); ORM Fertility, Los Angeles Reproductive Center, Mainline Fertility, American Fertility Services, and New England Fertility (Gold); Worldwide Surrogacy Specialists, All Families Surrogacy and ART Parenting (Silver); Victoria Gelfand Law Office, Fertility Law Canada, US Surrogacy and ConceiveAbilities (Bronze).
Surrogacy is very widely accepted among Israelis, and the country offers regulated domestic surrogacy, including insurance coverage of the medical treatment. However current law prevents gay men from benefiting from domestic surrogacy, despite broad public support. Thus a TV crew from the i24 news channel attended the MHB conference and reported on the desire of gay men to become parents and the discriminatory law.
