First European Men Having Babies Surrogacy Seminar and Expo is scheduled for April 29-30, 2012 - Part of four-day LGBT families gathering in Barcelona, Spain.
We are happy to announce "Men Having Babies - Europe" at the Second European Conference of the Network of European LGBT Family Associations (NELFA). It will take place on April 29-30, 2012, as part of a 4 day conference near Barcelona, Spain, which is expected to attract 700-800 people, including both parents and parents-to-be. The parenting seminar and expo is offered based on a similar program that has been running in NY for the last seven years.
The elaborate program will include a comprehensive surrogacy seminar on Sunday (April 29), and a Gay Parenting Services Exhibit. In addition, at least eight leading agencies and clinics from the United States and Europe will hold hour-long presentations on Sunday afternoon and Monday 11:30-17:30. Among the topics are ethical surrogacy practices, international surrogacy laws, know vs. anonymous egg donations, and speaking to surrogacy kids about their origin. Prospective parents and LGBT family activists will also have opportunities to learn about service providers at the Conference's four day Parenting Resources Display.
The Sunday program is also open to prospective parents who may not otherwise take part in the 4-day conference.
The European LGBT Families conference will take place April 28-May 1, 2012. The main Men Having Babies program will take place on the second day of the conference, Sunday April 29. Additional presentations will also be offered on Monday, April 30.
The conference will take place at hotel Evenia in the resort town of Lloret de Mar, just north of Barcelona.
You may join the conference for three or fewer nights or just come Sunday for this full day program. Even if you book accommodations and register at the Conference, you still need to register here to attend the Men Having Babies Europe surrogacy seminar and sponsored programs. There is no additional cost if you are staying at the hotel, but if you plan to only attend for the day, there will be a €25 charge.
About the Second European LGBT Families Conference
The Second European Conference on LGBT Families will combine
presentations, workshops, shared life experiences and leisure time. Our main objective is to empower social change, make our families visible, and have an impact on the media in our respective countries. We work together with other organizations and governments to address inequality suffered by LGBT families and their children and spread the achievements of LGBT rights across the continent. If you are either prospective parents or already have children, European, Canadian or American: the Barcelona LGBT Families gathering can be a terrific opportunity to meet hundreds of parents and parents-to-be from more than a dozen countries! About 800 of us will take over this resort and enjoy a balance of social, educational and fun activities, including sightseeing excursions in Barcelona and elsewhere. This all-inclusive package is also very affordable, about $400 for a family of four including all meals and excursions!
